2. Ganesh Balakrishnan

Ganesh Balakrishnan is the Co-Founder & Head of Marketing at Aurm, a world’s first initiative to provide wealth storage facilities in residential communities.

Earlier, Ganesh was the co-founder and CBO at Flatheads, India’s first all-day work sneaker brand. He is recognized widely for his entrepreneurial spirit, honesty and never-say-die attitude as a pitcher whose pitch went viral on Shark Tank India Season 2. Flatheads was recently acquired by an apparel brand and relaunched.

Ganesh was also a co-founder and CMO at Momoe, a fintech startup based out of Bangalore. Post acquisition of Momoe, he became a part of the ShopClues leadership team as AVP (Merchant Ecosystem) and expanded the seller base from 1 lakh to 5 lakh+ merchants.

Ganesh has an engineering and business background; he graduated as a B. Tech. from IIT Bombay and an MBA from IIM Bangalore. He also has a decade of entrepreneurial experience and 10 years of corporate work experience across business strategy, marketing and P&L leadership at Honeywell, Bain & Company and Ingersoll Rand.

Outside Aurm, Ganesh likes to spend time with his wife and 12-year-old daughter, nurturing her artistic talent and grooming her to become an entrepreneur. He is a TEDx speaker, and regularly speaks about entrepreneurship, strategy and marketing at corporates, colleges and startup events. He also teaches entrepreneurship and runs start-up workshops at NID Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and IIM Trichy.
